This blog is a quick and easy way for everyone to see what we have done and are planning to do as part of the After School Science and Engineering Club.
Swanmore College has been given a substantial grant to set up and run this club over a period of 2 years. It's aim is to enable KS3 pupils to explore different aspects and applications of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (the STEM Subjects).
The club will run on Thursdays after school from 1515 to 1615.
Our core topic is one of sustainability and our plan over the next two years is to build and run a wind turbine that can power a community project. Each half term will have a related 'mini-project' relating to an element of the STEM network.
The club is designed to be pupil run and pupil led, with a very acheiveable goal at the end!
